2024.06.17 Eastern Family Trip

We decided to visit family who are east of us since we normally go west and south in the winter and don't get to see them.

First, went to see our friends Charlene and Brian in their lovely home in Belle Ewart where we had a lovely time and they kept us for supper.  Brian barbecued hamburgers. We gave them some Mardi Gras throws from the parades in New Orleans. Then said our good byes.

We then enjoyed the hospitality of D'Arcy's brother Ken and his wife Mary in their lovely home is Oshawa. We took them out for dinner at "The Courtyard Pub".  I had desert so I coaxed everyone to have desert too.

Then we visited the Cain's cousin Catherine Mary who own a store called "Norm's Deli with her partner ."

Mary made a great supper for us and D'Arcy's sister Monica and our niece Tiffany. Then we went to Simcoe Restaurant and Lounge where D'Arcy played at the "Electric Plum Jam."   He played his bass and also his guitar.

We had to battle our way though the traffic to get to Toronto to visit one of our clients because his phone does not work.

Then off to see Maureen, another of D'Arcy's sisters, and her husband George.  We met at Eglinton Square where we had a lovely lunch at Watt's Restaurant.

We were a little disappointed we did not see Holly, our Godchild, and her husband Joel.

Then it was off to Montreal to visit my brother Alan. While there we also visited Crystal Alan's daughter and her husband Gabby and their son Louis.  We joined in the celebration of Crystal's birthday.  Crystal's son Louis, who has the same name as Louis Armstrong, played D'Arcy's trumpet.  He amazed everyone by actually playing a few notes.  Melissa's daughter, Calla, also played it.

We stayed with my brother Alan and went to visit Mom, Dad and my brother Norman at Mount Royal Cemetery.

Before leaving Montreal we had brunch with D'Arcy's cousins, Tim and Brian.  Their friend Natasha  also joined us.

Then off to Stittsville to see my other brother Robert and his lovely wife Laura. While there we were visited by his daughters Melissa and Taylor.  Taylor's fiance Matt was also there.

Then off to Pickering to see D'Arcy's sister Monica and Monica's son Steve and his wife, Leanne.  Since it was Canada Day we went upstairs to see her neighbour Emiline to see some fireworks. The following evening we had a late supper at Perkin's to see Monica's grand kids Quinn and Owen.  We stayed that night at Monica's and the next day D'Arcy helped Monica with some computer work.

Then we went back home at Wildwood Golf and RV Resort in Essex.  In total we put on 2,668 km (1,658 mi).
