2022.05.13 Our Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary

This love story started in Montreal North I lived on L'Hotel de Ville and D'Arcy lived on Gouin Boulevard. D'Arcy went to my house and asked my mother "can I marry Carol" and mom said "come back in ten years".  Mom said "son of a gun, he did"  D'Arcy proposed to me at Café de la Gare at Place Ville Marie in Montreal. On May 13, 1972 we tied the knot.

This morning we woke up and it did not feel any different except this lovely couple was married for fifty years today and we would not have it any other way. Yes, we still love each other.

A good friend of ours, Kathy Troiana  who we met when D'Arcy and I enjoyed motorcycle riding, drove out and met us at the 19th Hole Restaurant in the RV resort here.  We had a big breakfast and talked and took pictures of course.  When Carol has the camera pictures are not far behind. Kathy paid for our breakfast as an anniversary present. Then we walked to our new RV and D'Arcy helped Kathy with some computer problems.  We visited a bit more and then Kathy left after a great visit.

Two For The Show mentioned our 50th Anniversary during their show in Whitby at Monica's request. She sent us a short  video of the announcement.  We would like to thank her for that.

Then we had a Zoom party where friends and family dropped in to wish us happy anniversary.  Thank you for everyone that joined in.

We did have a wonderful day.
