2015.10.15 Mike Nagoda at Lou Dawgs
Both D'Arcy and I headed to Lou Dawgs to meet with Mike Nagoda and Jeremy Ronson because Mike Nagoda and The Spectrum Blues Band had a very important gig at Lou Dawgs last night. This gig was judged. The guys were invited to participate in Indie Week with others like Black Suit Devil and more, but D'Arcy and I had to leave early so we gave a lift to Jeremy Ronson and Mike Nagoda stayed.Mike Nagoda And The Spectrum Blues Band won the judging so they are playing in the semi finals at the Brooklynn Club 1186 Queen Street West Oct 17, 2015 8:00PM. There is a Cover charge $8. They are only on for 15 minutes so don't be late. If they win that they play at The Mod Club.
Indie Week is an independent music festival founded in Toronto in 2003. After 6 years of great success in Ireland, Indie Week Europe expanded in 2015 with Manchester, UK as its new host city. Indie Week Canada is a one of a kind experience. Emerging artists perform in front of the music industry elite for a chance to win the “Best of the Fest”, and the grand prize of a trip to Manchester to headline Indie Week Europe 2016. Indie Week Canada also hosts a conference called Indie101, featuring panels in social media, tech, music and more, plus industry mixers, after show parties and demo listening sessions.
Mike Nagoda and The Spectrum Blues Band consists of D'Arcy Cain on his five string bass guitar, Jeremy Ronson on drums and Nike Nagoda on double slide guitar and vocals.
Congratulation to Mike and the guys.
