2015.08.14 Mike Nagoda's Demo Recording

D'Arcy and I went to Nathan Beaupré's studio, Funkshed, where Mike Nagoda and The Spectrum Blues band were recording demos.

Friday was more for setting up. When we finished D'Arcy, Jeremy and I went to Loblaws across from the studio and bought some groceries, then we parted and went home to get ready for a long day on Saturday in the studio.

Saturday morning we were early so D'Arcy, Peter, Jeremy and I went across the street to Loblaw's to have some breakfast and buy some water. Then we went back to the studio to start recording. Dan was video taping the session and I took the pictures.

It was like a sweat box in there because it was really warm and Nathan had to close all of the doors and windows to prevent street noises from being picked up. It is odd when we have to go outside to cool off. The water was a good thing to buy. It was so hot in the recording studio that D'Arcy had to run to the store and get some baby powder to put on his bass guitar strings so he wouldn't stick to his strings.

D'Arcy, Jeremy and I went to Il Fornello for supper.

Mike and Peter returned Sunday to complete over dubs and vocals. All and all this was a great weekend.
