Applesauce Cake

  2 cups sifted cake flour
  1 teaspoon baking soda
  1 teaspoon cinnamon
  ¼ teaspoon cloves
  ½ teaspoon allspice
  ¾ teaspoon salt
  1 cup seedless raisins
  1 stick butter
  1 cup sugar
  1 egg
  1 cup sweetened thick applesauce

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Grease and flour 13x9x2 tin.

Sift dry ingredients.  Add raisins.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add egg.

Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce, beating well after
each addition.

Pour into prepared pan.  Bake for about 45 minutes.
