2013.01.09 My trip to the Veterinarian

Today's special guest journalist, Romeo the cat, talks about his trip to the veterinarian.

Today one of my staff woke me early and, instead of feeding me, put me into my carrier and took me to that nasty place where they poke me and look at me and even stick things in me. She says it is for my own good and that my mouth will feel much better when I came back. At first I thought that she had made a mistake so I worked open the carrier and came into the kitchen to get fed. She seemed awfully surprised to see me there and put me back into the carrier.

I didn't even get to eat before going. She took away all our food last night before they joined us in our bed. That meant no midnight snacks the night before for me or my friends Hogan and Ebony. The water was picked up at 7:00 this morning. What is she trying to do, starve us?

She is a smart cookie that staff of mine. She placed my carrier straight up and lowered me in feet first. Then off we went in our little red wagon.

All the way there I made it known I wasn't happy cooped up in the carrier by crying and when we arrived there and my staff left me there with these strangers I said wait just a minute, do I get a vote?

I had fourteen teeth removed today all my premolars and molars my incisors had already fallen out. They left me with only my four canine teeth. Luckily I don't have to go back to that nasty place because all my stitches in my mouth will dissolve by themselves.

The only trouble I had was a low platelet count in my pre-anesthetic blood work. Rats! I may have to recheck a complete blood count in one to two months to ensure this is not an on-going problem that requires further treatment.

They also applied a dose of Revolution and asked my staff to give doses to my friends at home.

Before we left my staff thought it would be a great idea to have a picture of me with Kaelyn. They thought it would be a great reminder of a good day but they weren't the one getting teeth pulled.

After a trying day I decided to send my staff to a Jam hosted by Gary Seventeen at the Hirut so that I could stay home and lick my wounds.
