2024.01.20 Krewe of Chewbacchus
We took an Uber because parking during Mardi Gras is nearly impossible. We got dropped of at Café Negril where we saw Jason Neville and his band. Then we did our normal walk up to Canal Street. On our walk we saw a Possum called Saffron and his owner. On Canal we stopped to eat at IHOP and then took a trolley back down to Frenchmen.
We stopped in at 30/90 where we saw Lil Red and Big Bad and stopped to see Teresa Nguyen and her son Omni who was interested in my cane and camera.
We walked through the Marigny to Elysian Fields where we stopped to watch the Krewe of Chewbacchus parade. It was a great Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror themed parade. We were getting cold and tired from standing so we left early and took a bus back home.
When we arrived at home, D'Arcy made us some hot chocolate and we watched one program then off to bed.
Can't wait for more Mardi Gras parades. The big, uptown ones will be starting soon.
