2019.08.09 Trailer Maintenance
Before heading south this year we brought our RV to BGM RV Centre in Chesterville to have some work done. There were a bunch of things that we needed to get done so we made a trip to do them all at once.We left the campground on July 29. Joelle, the owner, told us the path to take to get out which we took but as we passed under a tree branch we heard a noise. When we arrived we found out that the tree did some damage to our trailer. We left the trailer there and went for breakfast at Louis' Restaurant in Chesterville.
When we got back to BGM Ken showed us the damage to our the roof. We were surprised at the extent. We called our insurance company and they paid for that saving us close to $20,000. Then we had to make a grand decision because the frame was broken so that meant that this RV had to stay in one place and not move around so we went to RV Canada on Prince Of Wales Drive and looked at a Jayco. It was a little over our budget. That night we decided to keep the Heartland and get it fixed because we loved the inside and it is right for us. .
BGM were nice enough to let us stay in our RV with the slide outs open and everything. They also provided water and 30 amp electrical service. Then they brought our RV into the garage so they set us up in a Durango which was on their lot for sale.
On Saturday we decided to go back to Kittawa and we caught the last of the corn roast. Then we stuck around to visit some of our friends.
BGM RV Centre patched the roof until we come back in October when Kittawa Campground closes.
