2017.12.04 Chalmette Trailer Park
Chalmette Trailer Park is a very nice, quiet and clean campsite. I thought I would show you the pictures of it during the day. The day we arrived we had to wait until Bert came from out of town. Bert arrived at around 4:00. We set up as it was getting dark and Bert and Jose his helper helped D'Arcy back into our lot. It is like a little community and New Orleans is only a short ride away. We love it.We will stay at Chalmette Trailer Park until around March. We are anxious to see our first Mardi Gras which is on February 13th. I read that Mardi Gras started out as a religious holiday, and the colorful beads have special meaning. Traditional Mardi Gras beads are purple, green, and gold colors. The purple symbolizes justice, the green represents faith, and the gold signifies power.
We are having lots of fun in the meantime. D'Arcy is playing in some places down on Frenchmen Street and I take pictures.
