On Sunday morning we woke to no power. There were outages throughout different parts of Toronto. During the night gaint tree branches came down as well as phone and power lines. The sound of the iced branches falling was like someone breaking into our house.
We headed out to Golden Griddle Family Resturant for breakfast. It was unusually busy with a big line up waiting to be seated. Afterwards we did a bit of shopping. It seems like everwhere we went there was no salt. Then we went to Real Time Tech Solutions, one of our clients, to check up on Vex.Net. Then we went to two jams, McGradies and Grossman's.
Then out big task was to find where to sleep for a couple of nights. Every Hotel seemed to be full. We finally found a hotel Town Inn Suites.
We would have breakfast then go home to check on the power and get a change of clothes. We did this for three days.
Santa was good to us this year. He got us home for Christmas. Our power came back early in the morning of Dec 25.
