2013.12.05 Wheel Chair adventures and Christmas Dinner

Our life is turned upside down for a while with my operation on one hip and a stress fracture on the other. We had Margaret from CCAC come in to see who she could send to make our lifes run more smoothly.

Then D'Arcy decided to take me for a walk. We went to Shoppers Drug Mart. While they have buttons to help wheelchairs access the store they don't have a very safe exit. The one on Pape has no ramp to get out and as we tried getting out I landed facing the sky and a bump on my hard head instead of facing the traffic and D'Arcy hurt his foot. D'Arcy complained to the manager who told us that's one of the things they have to fix.

That night we went to our regular Christmas dinner with D'Arcy's band mates Gary, Jeremy and Stepahnie as well as Jenny, Gary's wife. This is usually hosted by Gary and Jenny but because of my hip and their stairs we decided to hold it at the Granite Brewery this year.
