Carol and D'Arcy as tourists
This morning we found out that D'Arcy's gig with the Rave at the Harp and Crown in Pickering was cancelled at the last minute. So, we dressed up as tourists, got a TTC day pass and travelled all over Toronto in search of talent at the 2013 Toronto Jazz Festival.

Checking out the Toronto Jazz Festival
First, D'Arcy and I went to a restaurant here on Danforth called Morgan's to pick up a schedule for the last two days of Toronto's Jazz Festival. This event started on June 20th but we were out of town.

Red Hot Ramble at the Rex
Then we went to The Rex Jazz & Blues Bar, there we saw Red Hot Ramble and we met a lovely couple and started a conversation.

Sam Heineman at N'Awlin's Bar and Dining
Since we never celebrated our anniversary this year we decided to have a belated anniversary dinner so next we went to a lovely restaurant on King Street called N'Awlins Bar & Dining to hear the talented sounds of Sam Heineman while we had a delicicious meal. We also saw our friends from the Rex who were also eating there and staying for a later show.

Tony Quarington playing with Gia & The Unpredictable Update Trio at Gate 403
Next we saw Gia & The Unpredictable Update Trio at Gate 403 and we both recognized the guitar player Tony Quarington. D'Arcy had done sound for Tony and the Guitar Boys of Algernon when they played at Winterfolk.

Big Rude Jake Sextet at Monarch's
Next we went to the Delta Chelsea Inn where we saw The Big Rude Jake Sextet and met some more nice people. Although we had met Jake before and D'Arcy even played with him once he didn't recognize us in our tourist outfits.

Firecracker Burlesque at the Dominion on Queen
Then we ended the day at Dominion On Queen for the Firecrackers Burlesque 'After Hours Edition'. Finally we headed home tired but happy.
