Butterscotch Brownies

1/4 c. butter			1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. brown sugar (dark)		1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg				1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. flour

Melt butter, add other ingredients.  Spread in greased 8" x 8"
pan.  Bake 25 minutes at 350.

Note:  I haven't had these in a long, long time, but i seem to
remember my mom adding butterscotch chips.  You could substitute
chocolate chips if you want.

I would also sift the baking powder and flour together first
then add it to the mixed wet ingredients.
