Bitchin' lentil soup
From: v116jugp@ubvmsd.cc.buffalo.edu (Timothy J Biehler) 1 cup lentils, washed and sorted 1/4 cup barley 2 medium onions, chopped fine 3 stalks celery, sliced 2 carrots, quartered lengthwise and then sliced 2 large potatoes, cut into 1/3 inch cubes 2 tomatos, diced 1/4 cup olive oil soy sauce to taste (go easy) tabasco to taste 4 cloves garlic, minced some minced fresh parsley celery seed, dill weed, cayenne pepper to taste Throw it all in a pot with 4-5 cups h20. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 45 minutes to an hour. If you like, stir in a tbsp or two of miso. Eat.
